Beginning Glass Fusing 7/23 & 30, 8/6
Presented by Janine Stillman
Saturdays, July 23rd to August 6th
9:00 a.m. to Noon
A bold introduction into the art of glass fusing. In this 3 session class, students will create many different projects. In session 1, basic glass cutting skills will be explored including cutting, nipping and grinding as we create whimsical sun catchers or Christmas ornaments. Different glass components will be explored and used to create cheerful designs. In session 2, a garden flower will be created that may be used as a small dish or glued to a stem (for an additional charge) to add color to your garden year-round. The grand finale will include an 8" dish with the design of your choosing. This is where you can let your imagination or your home decor style guide your design choice.
No make-up classes will be offered. Be sure you are available for all 3 sessions.
Please allow 7 to 10 days for firing of the pieces. You will have to return once the kiln firing has been completed to pick up your creations. To keep my vulnerable family members safe, proof of vaccination will be required. Enrollment will be limited to 8 students to allow for plenty of working and breathing space.
