Paint, Pull, Pour and More Class Descriptions
Successfully fusing beautiful designs onto glass with Colors for Earth enamels
2-Day Class Description
“Paint, Pull, Pour and More 2-Day Workshop”
Be your own designer and create unique patterns and designs adapted from the acrylic paint pouring craze that will be fired onto glass using Colors for Earth enamels. You will select your favorite color combination and create a set of coordinating 4”x 6” glass pieces using watercolor, marbleizing, pouring, dripping and pulling techniques. After an overnight firing, these pieces will be used to create a dish (or two as time allows) using modular design techniques and the Morton cutting system. Students must return after a dinner break on Day 1 to clean and load their pieces into the kiln and discuss design ideas and patterns for their finished creations.
1-Day Class Description
“Paint, Pull, Pour and More”
In this exciting new class, students will paint and create their very own glass in patterns and designs adapted from acrylic paint pouring techniques. Using Colors for Earth enamels, students will select their favorite color combination and fashion a set of coordinating 4”x 6” glass pieces showcasing watercolor, marbleizing, pouring, dripping and pulled paint designs. All of the pieces created in class will be dried overnight so that they may be carefully packed and transported home for firing.
Half-Day Class Description (3.5 hour minimum)
“Paint, Pull and Pour”
In this fun and somewhat messy class, Colors for Earth enamels will be mixed into a paint which will be used to create several designs on 96 COE glass. (If desired, students may bring other COE glass to use). Marbleizing, pouring and pulling are some of the topics that will be explored as you create your own set of coordinating custom glass for use in a future project. The pieces created in class will be dried overnight so that they may be carefully packed and transported home for firing.
