Meet California Glass Artist Janine Stillman

When our boys started living independently and went off of the family payroll, I quit my “real” job as the director of The Center for Educational Therapy to pursue my passion; fused glass. With encouragement from my new found glass mentors as well as my supportive husband, I threw myself into the world of fused glass. I began working in my studio creating and enjoying the process but missing the interactions with the people I used to see daily. To fill this gap I started teaching glass fusing classes and fundraising for autism non-profits across the United States. Now, more than 10 years later, I am teaching classes full of eager students exploring the art of glass fusion and traveling to autism events to support the cause. I am so blessed to be able to spend my time doing what I love most… hosting “glass parties” and giving back to the Autism Community.
